When Heaven Moves In – The Moment of New Life

A lot of people talk about inviting God into their life.

But the real question is… how do you know when He actually moved in?

Because if God truly takes up residence, it shouldn’t feel like a guess. It shouldn’t leave you wondering if something happened or not. When heaven moves in, something changes. Not just around you, but inside you.

Jesus didn’t describe salvation as a slow improvement. He described it as a birth. And birth is a moment. There’s a before, and there’s an after.

In John 3, He said, “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” That’s the doorway. Not religion. Not effort. Water and Spirit.

Then you get to Acts 2, and you see it happen.

They were gathered together, waiting on the promise. And suddenly, there came a sound from heaven like a rushing mighty wind. The room filled. And then they were filled. “They were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

That’s the moment.

That’s when heaven moved in.

It wasn’t quiet. It wasn’t uncertain. It wasn’t something they had to talk themselves into believing. It was undeniable.

And it didn’t stop there.

In Acts 10, while Peter was still speaking, the Holy Ghost fell on those listening, and they knew it happened. Why? Because they heard them speak with tongues.
In Acts 19, when Paul laid hands on the disciples, the Holy Ghost came on them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.

Different settings. Same result.

Because when heaven moves in, it leaves evidence.

Think about it this way.

If someone moves into a house, you don’t question it for long. Lights come on. Voices are heard. Things change. The space is no longer empty.

The same is true spiritually.

Before the Spirit fills you, you’re reaching for God. After the Spirit fills you, God is living in you.

That’s the shift.

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”

This is more than belief. This is habitation.

And when that happens, something settles deep inside your soul. You’re not trying to figure out if you’re saved anymore. You’re not replaying a moment, wondering if you felt enough or said enough.

You know something happened.

Because the Spirit didn’t just touch you. He filled you.

He spoke through you.

He made Himself known.

That’s the moment of new life.

From there, growth begins. You learn to walk in the Spirit. You develop fruit. You follow His leading. But it all starts with that initial moment where heaven steps in and takes over.

So if you’ve been living in uncertainty, hoping you’re saved, trying to convince yourself something changed, come back to this.

When heaven moves in, it’s not hidden.

It’s not partial.

It’s not confusing.

It’s real.

And once you’ve experienced it, you don’t have to guess anymore.

Because you remember the moment.

The sound.

The filling.

The shift.

And that’s how you know for sure.

Call to Action: The Question That Demands an Answer

In Acts 2:37 Peter and the Apostles were asked the question – What Shall We do?

And in Acts 2:38 Peter answered, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Do you understand this? After hearing the gospel and believing, they asked what should would do. The answer hasn’t changed friend, Peter clearly gave the answer. The question for you today is, Have you receieved the Holy Spirit Since you believed?
