The Spirit Reveals And Glorifies Jesus in Me

The Spirit Reveals And Glorifies Jesus in Me

(John 16:14–15, KJV)

Brethren, the Holy Spirit has one supreme purpose – to glorify Jesus Christ. Not to draw attention to Himself. Not to create a spectacle. But to reveal the Son of God in living power. Jesus said, “He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.” Every whisper, every conviction, every moment when your heart burns with truth – that is the Spirit magnifying Jesus within you.

1. The Spirit Reveals Christ’s Truth and Glory

Friends, we cannot know Christ apart from the Spirit’s light. The Lord said, “All Mine are Thine, and Thine are Mine” (John 17:10). The Spirit reveals that shared glory of the Father and the Son to our souls. Have you felt that light break through your heart?

“For God… hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6). That’s not poetry – that’s power. It’s the miracle of seeing Christ for who He really is. Just as He opened the disciples’ understanding to the Scriptures (Luke 24:45), the Spirit now opens ours. The Bible becomes living fire when He moves. Without Him, it’s ink on paper.

2. The Spirit Brings Jesus’ Words and Presence Alive

The Spirit is not distant. He’s personal. Jesus said, “The Comforter… shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance” (John 14:26). Have you ever read a verse and suddenly it pierced you? That’s Him.

“God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit… that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God” (1 Corinthians 2:10–12). Knowledge isn’t enough; revelation is required. The Holy Ghost writes the covenant truth within – “I will put My laws into their hearts” (Hebrews 10:15–16). His words are not mere instruction; they are life. Jesus said, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63).

The same anointing that taught the apostles abides in you today (1 John 2:27). When you listen, He makes the words of Christ beat like a pulse in your soul.

3. The Spirit Testifies of Jesus and Makes Him Known

The Spirit never promotes man; He magnifies Jesus. “He shall testify of Me” (John 15:26). Every genuine move of the Spirit points to the Lamb.

In Acts 5:32 we read, “The Holy Ghost… is given to them that obey Him.” Obedience opens the mouth of God’s Spirit within you. “The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” (Romans 8:16–17). What a comfort – to know not just by reason but by revelation that we are His!

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6). He confirms sonship, identity, and belonging. “The Spirit… beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth” (1 John 5:6–8). The Spirit’s testimony is never vague – it is Christ-centered, blood-marked, cross-focused truth.

4. The Spirit Transforms Believers into Christ’s Image

O my soul, the Spirit does not merely inform – He transforms. “We all… beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image” (2 Corinthians 3:18). That’s the Spirit’s greatest glory: making us like Jesus.

God’s plan has never changed – “to be conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29). The Spirit renews the mind (Ephesians 4:23–24), reshapes the heart, and produces the fruit of Christ’s own character – love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (Galatians 5:22–23).

Paul said that through the Spirit’s supply, “Christ shall be magnified in my body” (Philippians 1:19–20). That’s the goal – not just to believe in Him, but to bear His likeness.

5. The Spirit Strengthens Our Inner Being to Reflect Christ

The Spirit fortifies what the flesh cannot sustain. Paul prayed that we might be “strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith” (Ephesians 3:16–17).

When you’re weak, remember – “If Christ be in you… the Spirit is life because of righteousness” (Romans 8:10–11). He even gives vitality to your mortal body. The Spirit saturates the soul so that “the word of Christ” may dwell richly in us (Colossians 3:16).

Believers are “chosen… through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth” (2 Thessalonians 2:13–14). He makes holiness not a duty but a delight. And through it all, His power makes Paul’s cry our own: “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection” (Philippians 3:10).

6. The Spirit Reveals the Mystery: Christ in You

Behold the staggering mystery – Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Not a distant deity but a living presence. The Spirit makes that truth real in everyday life.

“I am crucified with Christ… nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me” (Galatians 2:20). This is not theory. This is union. The love of God “is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost” (Romans 5:5). That same love fueled Jesus’ obedience.

“Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost… therefore glorify God in your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). Every action, every thought can become worship. And Jesus prayed, “The glory which Thou gavest Me I have given them… that the world may know” (John 17:22–23). The Spirit fulfills that prayer by filling us with that same glory.

7. The Spirit’s Prophetic Witness Centers on Jesus

From Genesis to Revelation, the Spirit’s testimony has one focus: Jesus Christ. “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Revelation 19:10). Every genuine word, vision, and revelation must exalt Him.

When the Spirit fell in Acts 10:44–46, they spoke of “the greatness of God.” True revival always magnifies Jesus. The prophets of old were moved by “the Spirit of Christ… which testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow” (1 Peter 1:11–12).

And Jesus said, “Ye shall receive power… and ye shall be witnesses unto Me” (Acts 1:8). Even at the end of all things, “the Spirit and the bride say, Come” (Revelation 22:17).

That’s the Spirit’s final cry – Come to Jesus. See His glory. Be filled with Him. Live for Him.

Closing Appeal

Brethren, the Holy Spirit is not a theory to be studied but a Presence to be yielded to. He glorifies Jesus – not through noise, but through holiness. Not through mere knowledge, but through transformation.

So ask yourself: Does the Spirit have full access to glorify Jesus in me? Do I quench His voice when He calls me to humility, to purity, to witness?

Let us pray, “Holy Spirit, take of Christ and show Him to me. Reveal His beauty. Write His words on my heart. Transform me until the world no longer sees me, but Christ in me.”

Because when the Spirit glorifies Jesus in us – the world sees the Savior again.
