The Secret to Faith That Cannot Be Shaken

The Secret to Faith That Cannot Be Shaken

Let’s be honest.

Most people don’t struggle to believe when things are going well.

Faith feels strong when prayers are answered quickly, when doors open, when everything seems to line up.

But what about when nothing moves?

When the prayer lingers. When the pressure builds. When what you believed doesn’t look like it’s happening.

That’s where you find out what your faith is actually built on.

So the question is not, Do you have faith?

The question is, Is your faith stable enough to stand when everything around you shakes?

Faith That Lasts Must Be Built on Something Solid

Jesus made this clear with a simple picture.

“Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them… is like a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.” (Matthew 7:24, KJV)

Notice that.

The difference wasn’t hearing.

Both people heard.

The difference was doing.

When the storm came, one house stood. The other didn’t.

Why?

Foundation.

If your faith is built only on feelings or circumstances, it will rise and fall with them.

But if it’s built on truth, something changes.

The Word Is the Foundation, Not the Feeling

Feelings shift.

The Word doesn’t.

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (Matthew 24:35, KJV)

This is where stable faith begins.

Not in what you feel. Not in what you see.

In what God has said.

Because when everything else is uncertain, His Word stays the same.

But the Word Must Be Rooted Deep

Here’s where many people get stuck.

They know the Word… but it’s not rooted.

Jesus explained this in the parable of the sower:

“…these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.” (Luke 8:13, KJV)

No root means no stability.

And roots don’t grow overnight.

They develop over time.

Through consistency. Through reflection. Through obedience.

The Holy Spirit Strengthens You From Within

You are not meant to hold everything together on your own.

Paul prayed this:

“…to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.” (Ephesians 3:16, KJV)

That inner strengthening is what keeps you steady when everything outside feels unstable.

This is where Pentecost connects directly.

“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost…” (Acts 2:4, KJV)

Before that moment, the disciples struggled with fear.

After it, they stood firm under pressure.

The difference was not information.

It was empowerment.

Faith Becomes Stable Through Testing

Let’s be real.

Nobody likes this part.

But it’s necessary.

“The trial of your faith… though it be tried with fire…” (1 Peter 1:7, KJV)

Testing doesn’t destroy real faith.

It strengthens it.

Every time you trust God when things don’t make sense, your foundation goes deeper.

And over time, what once shook you… no longer does.

Trust Is Built in the Waiting

Waiting is where many people struggle the most.

Because it feels like nothing is happening.

But something is.

“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…” (Isaiah 40:31, KJV)

Waiting stretches your trust.

It forces you to rely on God instead of outcomes.

And that’s where stability is built.

Unshaken Faith Is Not Perfect Faith

Let’s clear something up.

Faith that cannot be shaken is not faith that never feels pressure.

It’s faith that refuses to let go.

Even when doubt whispers.
Even when circumstances don’t match.
Even when answers take time.

That kind of faith holds on.

Obedience Locks the Foundation in Place

This is where everything connects.

Jesus didn’t say the wise man just heard His words.

He did them.

“…and doeth them…” (Matthew 7:24, KJV)

Obedience turns belief into structure.

Every time you act on what God says, you reinforce your foundation.

And over time, that structure becomes solid.

What Unshaken Faith Looks Like

It doesn’t panic when things go wrong.

It doesn’t collapse under pressure.

It stays steady.

Not because everything is easy… but because it knows who God is.

“God is our refuge and strength… therefore will not we fear…” (Psalm 46:1–2, KJV)

That’s the posture.

Bringing It Into Your Life

Start simple.

Stay in the Word daily.
Invite the Holy Spirit to strengthen you.
Act on what God shows you.
Keep trusting, even when you don’t see results yet.

That’s how stability is built.

Not instantly.

But consistently.

Final Thought

Faith that cannot be shaken is not something you suddenly receive.

It’s something that is built.

On the Word.
Through the Spirit.
Tested in real life.

And over time, what once felt fragile becomes firm.

So when the storm comes… and it will…

You won’t be scrambling to hold everything together.

You’ll already be standing.

Because your faith is not resting on what moves.

It’s anchored in what never changes.

Call to Action: The Question That Demands an Answer

In Acts 2:37 Peter and the Apostles were asked the question – What Shall We do?

And in Acts 2:38 Peter answered, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Do you understand this? After hearing the gospel and believing, they asked what should would do. The answer hasn’t changed friend, Peter clearly gave the answer. The question for you today is, Have you receieved the Holy Spirit Since you believed?
