You ever read about Jesus healing people and think… that’s Him.
But when it comes to you, it feels different.
Like you’re meant to observe, not participate.
But what if that’s not actually what the Scripture shows?
Let’s see what the Scripture actually says.
“And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.”
(KJV)
This wasn’t Jesus doing it
This is the part that shifts everything.
This verse isn’t about Jesus directly healing.
It’s about His disciples.
Just before this, He sends them out.
He gives them authority.
Then they go.
And this is the result.
“They… healed them.”
Do you see that?
Not watched.
Not reported.
Participated.
Authority was given… then acted on
Earlier it says He gave them “power over unclean spirits.”
But authority on its own doesn’t do anything.
It has to be used.
“They cast out many devils…”
“They anointed… and healed them…”
They didn’t stay back wondering if it would work.
They moved.
Do you see where this starts?
With what He gave… then what they did with it.
It wasn’t a one-off moment
This pattern shows up again.
“He gave them power… over all devils, and to cure diseases”
(Luke 9:1)
“And these signs shall follow them that believe… they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”
(Mark 16:17–18)
This wasn’t limited to one situation.
It was part of what followed belief.
That’s not what many expect, is it?
But here’s where most people hesitate
You might read this and feel the gap.
They did it.
But would you?
There’s something inside that pulls back.
What if nothing happens?
What if it feels awkward?
What if you’re wrong?
So instead of stepping forward… you stay quiet.
Is that what’s been happening?
Look at what they actually did
They didn’t try to be Jesus.
They obeyed what He told them.
They went where He sent them.
They used what He gave them.
And they acted.
Simple.
No complicated process.
Just obedience in motion.
Another place says:
“Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only”
(James 1:22)
Do you see the connection?
This is bigger than a moment
This isn’t just about healing.
It’s about stepping into what you’ve been given.
Not shrinking back.
Not leaving everything to someone else.
But actually responding to Him.
Because if it’s always pushed onto others… you never move.
And nothing changes.
Do you feel that tension?
Like you’re meant to step forward… but something holds you back?
So what does this look like right now?
It might be simple.
Praying for someone instead of just thinking about it.
Speaking what God has said instead of staying silent.
Acting on what you already know… instead of waiting for more confirmation.
It won’t feel perfect.
It didn’t for them either.
But they went anyway.
What would it look like for you to do that?
Here’s what you can’t ignore
Jesus didn’t just heal people.
He sent others to do it too.
And they did.
Not because they were special.
But because they responded.
So be honest.
Are you waiting to feel ready… or are you willing to step into what He’s already given you?
