When the Pain Doesn’t Make Sense

The Spirit Who Turns Tears into Teaching

There are moments you wish you could skip.

Situations you didn’t choose. Conversations that cut deeper than expected. Seasons that feel longer than they should.

And if you’re honest, you’ve probably asked it.

Why did this happen?

Not in a casual way. In a real way.

Because you’re trying to understand something that doesn’t seem to line up.

And the hardest part is this.

You’re not just dealing with the situation.

You’re dealing with what it did to you.

God Doesn’t Waste What Hurt You

Here’s something that doesn’t always feel true in the moment.

Nothing you go through is wasted when you walk with God.

Not the disappointment.

Not the confusion.

Not even the tears.

That doesn’t mean God caused every painful moment.

But it does mean He knows how to work through it.

To take what hurt you and begin shaping something out of it.

Not instantly. Not superficially.

But deeply.

The Spirit Meets You in the Middle of It

A lot of people think they have to “get through it” before they can connect with God again.

But that’s not how it works.

The Spirit meets you right in the middle of it.

In the confusion. In the frustration. In the silence.

Not waiting for you to have the right words.

Just present.

And sometimes, that’s where the process begins.

Not with answers.

With presence.

Tears Are Not Weakness, They’re Signals

It’s easy to push emotions aside.

To tell yourself to move on. To stay strong. To not sit in it too long.

But tears reveal something.

They show where something mattered.

Where something affected you deeply.

And instead of ignoring that, the Spirit uses it.

Not to keep you stuck.

But to show you what needs attention.

What needs healing.

What needs understanding.

Pain Often Reveals What Needs to Change

Here’s where it becomes uncomfortable.

Not every painful moment is just something to endure.

Sometimes it’s something to learn from.

Not in a harsh way.

But in an honest way.

What did this situation expose?

A pattern?

A reaction?

A belief you’ve been carrying?

The Spirit begins to show you these things.

Not to blame you.

But to help you grow.

He Teaches You Through What You Didn’t Expect

We usually expect growth to come through clear instruction.

Reading. Learning. Being told what to do.

But a lot of the deepest lessons don’t come that way.

They come through experience.

Through things you didn’t plan.

Through moments you didn’t want.

And afterward, when you look back, you realize something.

You understand things differently now.

You respond differently now.

You see things you didn’t see before.

That’s teaching.

Not from a book.

From life, guided by the Spirit.

You Don’t Always See It While You’re In It

This part requires patience.

Because most of the time, the lesson is not clear in the moment.

You’re just trying to get through it.

Trying to make sense of things.

Trying to hold onto something steady.

And that’s okay.

Because the understanding often comes later.

As you process it with God.

As the Spirit brings clarity.

As time gives you perspective.

The Spirit Brings Truth Into the Process

One of the most important things He does is this.

He brings truth into your experience.

Because pain can distort things.

It can lead you to wrong conclusions.

“This will always be like this.”

“I can’t trust again.”

“I’m not strong enough.”

And if those thoughts settle, they shape how you move forward.

But the Spirit corrects that.

He brings truth back into focus.

Not by ignoring what happened.

But by showing you what’s still true despite it.

You Come Out With More Than You Lost

It might not feel like it in the moment.

But when God works through your pain, something changes.

You don’t come out empty.

You come out with understanding.

With wisdom.

With strength you didn’t have before.

Not because the pain was good.

But because God worked through it.

And that’s what redeems the experience.

You Become Someone Who Can Help Others

There’s another side to this.

What you’ve walked through becomes something you can use to help someone else.

Not in a forced way.

In a real way.

Because you understand.

You’ve been there.

And when you speak, it carries weight.

Not theory.

Experience.

That’s part of the teaching too.

Don’t Rush Past What God Is Still Working On

It’s tempting to move on quickly.

To close the chapter.

To not revisit what hurt.

But if you rush it, you might miss what God is doing.

Take the time to process it with Him.

Let Him show you what matters.

Let Him bring clarity.

Because that’s where the growth happens.

Final Thought

If you’re in a place right now where things have hurt, don’t assume it’s meaningless.

Don’t assume it’s just something to get past.

Bring it to God.

Sit with Him in it.

Let the Spirit walk you through it.

Because He doesn’t just comfort you in your pain.

He teaches you through it.

And when you come out the other side, you’ll start to see something.

What once felt like a breaking point…

became a turning point.

Call to Action: The Question That Demands an Answer

In Acts 2:37 Peter and the Apostles were asked the question – What Shall We do?

And in Acts 2:38 Peter answered, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Do you understand this? After hearing the gospel and believing, they asked what should would do. The answer hasn’t changed friend, Peter clearly gave the answer. The question for you today is, Have you receieved the Holy Spirit Since you believed?
