Positive Affirmations book and CD collection

I just love the book of Psalms. How good is this?

Psalm 5:11-12

But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as [with] a shield.

Let’s break it down step by step and take in all of the wonderful positive affirmations that are contained in just these 2 tiny verses of the Bible.

I rejoice because I put my trust in the Lord
I can shout for joy
The Lord defends me
I am joyful in the Lord because I love his name
The Lord blesses me
The Lord surrounds me with favor like a shield

WOW!

Have a joyous and blessed day

Thought For The Day

“There is a real magic in enthusiasm. It spells the
difference between mediocrity and accomplishment…. It gives
warmth and good feeling to all your personal
relationships.”

~ Norman Vincent Peale ~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, why not try saying your positive affirmations while
looking at yourself in the mirror. Make sure that you have
good eye contact with your reflection in the mirror. Make
each statement in a tone of voice that says, I believe what
I am saying to be true, and I know that I can accomplish
whatever I want in my life by using positive self talk.
Today’s Positive Affirmation
I am enthusiastic. I face each day with excitement and joy
for the possibilities of what can become of that day. I
know that as long as I keep a positive attitude and do
things that need to be done that I can do anything I put my
mind to. I am important to myself, and will not accept
anybody making me feel less than important. I look at each
day as a new chance to make my life spectacular.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Did you know that the word enthusiastic is from greek
words that mean possessed by God or inspired by God ?

I encourage you to live in the NOW

For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day
of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted
time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Cor 6:2)

Live for today!

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take
thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the
evil thereof. (Matthew 6:34)

Be anxious for nothing

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto
God. (Phil 4:6)

Thought For The Day

People become really quite remarkable when they start
thinking that they can do things. When they believe in
themselves they have the first secret of success.

~ Norman Vincent Peale ~

Are you ready to start feeling better? As I’m sure you are
already aware of, every day you are bombarded with negative
statements. If you watch the news, there are always several
horrible stories to bring you down. If you would like to
start feeling better, you may want to quit watching the
news. You are also open every day to negative comments from
other people, TV shows you watch, friends, family, and
worst of all negative comments you say to yourself.

In order to start feeling better, you need to learn to
ignore or avoid negative people or other outside negative
situations. In order to get the most from the positive
affirmations in this eCourse, I recommend either writing
them on a 3 x 5 card or printing up each email. Each day
read the positive affirmations out loud in the morning,
afternoon, and evening. If you find it difficult to read
them out loud at home with other people around, why not
take a drive down the street and read them out loud in your
car.

Today’s Positive Affirmation

I am a strong and competent person. Each day I accomplish
everything I set out to do. I do not allow people to
put me down or make me feel weak. When I start a task I do
it competently and completely. I am happy with myself and I
do not allow others to make me feel bad or put me down.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I encourage you today to be like Abraham.
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was
strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded
that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. (Romans
4:20-21)
Allow God’s word to accomplish good things in you
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not
return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)
Take time out today to meditate on God’s works
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on
the work of thy hands. (Psalm 143:5)
I was looking at some articles written by Norman Vincent Peale the author of the Power Of Positive Thinking the other day and was very impressed with a lot of what he had to say. I haven’t as yet had the opportunity to read his book but definitely plan to soon however I do want to touch on one of the statements which he made that is so simplistic yet amazingly powerful if we can apply it in our lives.
I can’t remember the exact wording that was used but he said something like all we have to do is replace the bad thoughts with good thoughts.
Let me say that again – all we have to do is replace the bad thoughts with good thoughts. How simple is that?
Our minds can only think on one thing at a time. If you catch yourself dwelling on negative thoughts then make the conscious choice immediately to switch to positive thoughts. It is like switching on a light in a dark room the darkness (negative thoughts) will flee away. Really take hold of what is being said here… Our minds can only think on one thing at a time. If we think on the positive there is no room left for the negative.
So how do Christians combat negative, doubtful or even evil thoughts?
Check this out…
Romans 12:21
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Wow! It is so amazingly simple yet wonderfully effective. Any problem or difficulty we have can be overcome with good. To overcome means to have the victory over. How do you get the victory over your negative thinking? With good… what an amazing weapon against evil.
Norman Vincent Peale was a big fan of using affirmations to replace negative thinking or should it just be called wrong thinking? There are some wonderful stories of how Biblical affirmations have assisted many people to achieve success and happiness in life. You will find more positive affirmations in the Bible than all of the self help books combined and when you dive into the wonderful word of God you will soon be over powered by just how much God loves you and what lengths he has gone to for you to have a more abundant life.
At the end of the day we just can not allow our natural inadequate thinking or reasonings to dictate our direction in life. We need to take control of our minds and therefore control our lives. Chose to do it… It just isn’t going to happen by itself. You need to take control and start right now to replace the bad with the good. You will be amazed at how much better you will feel and when you feel good you do good.
Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
So what is good?
To do justly
To love mercy
To walk humbly with your God
Does the Bible encourage us to think on certain things?
Check this out in Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Let’s itemize those things we are encouraged to think on:
1. Things that are just
2. Things that a pure
3. Things that are lovely
4. Things that are of a good report
5. Things that are of virtue
6. Things that be of any praise
In summary we are encouraged in the scriptures to think about good things. We truly can overcome evil with good and it starts with our own thinking.
