One of the Bible concordance meanings for hope is to have a joyful and confident expectation. The scriptures encourage us to have our faith and hope (joyful and confident expectation) in God. The Bible goes onto say that this joyful and confident expectation we have is a lively hope. The word lively means to enjoy a real life, a true life, an active, blessed and endless life, a fresh, strong, active and powerful life.

1 John 3:3-4

It is in Gods word that we should place our joyful and confident expectations and of course by extension Jesus Christ because he was the word made flesh.
